Silvermines GAA Notes

County Hurling League 

Silvermines lost out to Newport in the County League on Sunday last in Newport by 0-22 to 1-18. Silvermines led by 1-14 to 0-9 at the break but a spirited second half comeback from the home side saw them trail by just two points at the 50-minute mark, 1-16 to 0-17. Newport drew level with three minutes of normal time remaining and snatched a late injury time point to take the spoils.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Conor McKelvey and Michael Corcoran who were on the Tipp team who defeated Waterford in the Munster U-20 hurling championship in Semple Stadium last Friday. The club would like to wish Conor and Michael all the very best in the upcoming Munster-semi-final against Clare on Monday evening next.

Best of luck also to Jason Forde and the Tipp team in their Munster SHC clash with Cork on Saturday evening in Páirc Ui Chaoimh.
