Under 13A County Champions

Huge congrats to our Under 13 girls who became County Champions at the weekend.  Heading to The Ragg on Saturday last, we knew we had it all to do, up against a very strong Ballybacon/Grange team.  

Ballybacon started strong but we managed to keep them scoreless with our first point coming from Aoife Ryan.  Two more were to follow in the first half from Maeve Cuneen and Jane Ryan.  Keeping Ballybacon scoreless in the first half, we knew they would come out all guns blazing in the second.  We conceded a point early on but our girls stood strong in the backline, with Caoimhe Delaney making two great saves between the posts.  After a hard fought battle with our girls leaving their bodies on the line, we were to be hailed champions on a scoreline of 0-3 to 0-1.  This was a fantastic way to end our year.  Huge thanks to our players for their commitment and determination, and a special word of thanks to our coaches Aileen & Catherine.
