County PIHC Championship
Commiserations to our Premier Intermediate hurlers who lost out to Upperchurch-Drombane on a scoreline of 1-23 to 1-15 in the second round of the county PIHC on Saturday in Templederry. (See Guardian match report). We now face a final round clash against Carrick Swans on the weekend after next.
Junior B Hurling
Our Junior B's suffered their first defeat of the championship to Knockshegowna in Ballingarry on Friday evening last. In a closely fought game Silvermines lost out by two points in the end, 0-19 to 1-14, having trailed by 0-12 to 0-7 at the break. Our next outing is against Portroe in Portroe on this Saturday evening at 7.30pm
All-Ireland Junior Camogie Final
Huge Congratulations to Ciara Ryan and Miriam Murphy and the Tipperary Junior Camogie team and management following their All-Ireland Junior camogie final win against Laois in Croke Park last Sunday.
All Ireland Camogie 7’s
Hard luck to our Camogie 7’s side who lost out after extra-time (5-13 to 6-4) in the quarter final to Waterford side, Galliter in the All-Ireland Sevens tournament in Kilmacud at the weekend.
U-19 Hurling
Our U-19 hurlers had a well-deserved 0-16 to 0-14 win against Nenagh Eire Og in Nenagh on Wednesday evening last in Round 2 of the North championship. We now will face Toomevara on this Wednesday 14th August in Toomevara at 7.30pm.
U-17 Hurling
Best of luck to our U-17 ‘A’ hurlers who will face Burgess in the Preliminary Quarter-Final in Puckane on this Monday 12th August at 7.30pm.
U-15 North B Championship
Our U-15 hurlers face Borris-Ileigh in the North Quarter-Final in Kilcolman on Thursday evening 15th August at 6.45 pm. Best of luck to the boys.
U-13 Hurling
Best of luck to our under 13 A hurlers in their North quarter final clash with Nenagh Eire Og in Toomevara on this Tuesday night 13th August next. Throw in is at 7.30pm. Best of luck also to our U-13 D side who face Burgess in their North quarter final in Kilcolman on this Wednesday 14th August at 6.45 pm.
Lotto Jackpot
Our club Lotto is now at 12,000 euro. Tickets can be bought from committee members or in a number of outlets in Nenagh where the Lotto jackpot is displayed. Lotto tickets can also be bought and renewed online.
Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw
Support is being sought for the Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw which is being promoted by Tipperary GAA to contribute towards some great initiatives. The draw also supports the clubs with 50 per cent of ticket sales going back to the clubs. There is also a 30k prize fund with the first draw taking place in July.
